Our adult volunteers get as much out of Scouting as our young people. As well as helping young people enjoy the adventure of scouting, you'll have fun, make friends, develop new skills, and have unforgettable experiences. We can also help you grow your current skills and learn new ones.
Volunteering in Scouting can enhance your CV or allow you to pursue your interest in a specific hobby.
If you're over 18, you can help as an adult volunteer in Scouting. There is no upper age limit for adult volunteers.
We have lots of different volunteering opportunities to choose from. We are primarily looking for Section Team Members to help across all our sections: Beavers, Cubs and Scouts; however, you could also join our Trustee Board. However you decide to volunteer, we can work around your needs to fit around you and the time you want to give to the Scouting movement.
Yes! You don't need to have been a part of Scouts before to volunteer with us. Whatever your skillset, lend a hand for as little or as much time as you can spare, and we promise you'll get more out than you put in.
Yes, The Scouts Association provides training for all adult volunteers upon joining the movement. Our learning system comprises a blended learning system (online and in-person). Please visit HERE for more information!
